Banda de Rock britanica fundada en 1969. UFO se transformó en una banda transicional entre el hard rock primitivo
y el heavy metal y apareció como la New Wave del Heavy Metal británico.

La influencia de UFO se sintió fuertemente en la escena del heavy metal de los 80s y han sido citados como influencia
primaria de Steve Harris de Iron Maiden, Kirk Hammett de Metallica y Dave Mustaine de Megadeth, entre otros.
