Con su disco presentación "Blue", con tan solo 13 años, Leann Rimes causó expectación en Nashville. Aunque su tierna edad era causa suficiente para sorprenderse, la auténtica sorpresa fue su impresionante, profundidad y rica voz. “Blue” muestra a una Rimes que compone un country para oyentes de mediados de los 90’, con tonos muy comerciales, mezcla el sonido tradicional con pop. La calidad de las canciones es aún desigual (tengamos en cuenta la corta edad de Rimes), pero estos pequeños fallos se ven superados por la voz exquisita que demuestra Leann a lo largo del disco, sugiriendo que la joven artista será capaz de desarrollar su talento al 100% en próximos trabajos. Un disco extraordinario.

Descripción
La verdad sea dicha, el estilo country nunca fue sobre el que se decantaba Leann. Es cierto que su debut “Blue” tenia altas dosis de country, y que en “You Light Up My Life” sugería cierta preferencia hacia el sonido crooner contemporáneo. Pero en este su tercer álbum, sin llegar a perder los tintes del country, se decanta hacia un sonido más pop, con más guitarras y medios tiempos. Nunca negamos el talento de Leann, pero es en este álbum, gracias a los buenos consejos de su productor y padre Wilbur, donde su música es realmente magnífica, sonando relajada y natural.
