Sufjan Stevens es un cantautor estadounidense que prometió dedicar un álbum a cada uno de los estados de la Unión. De momento sólo ha hecho dos, los dedicados a Michigan (2003) y a Illinois (2005), donde está incluida esta canción. “Realmente hay seis versiones grabadas del original. Para nuestra versión combinamos dos”, dice Guillermo Galván, guitarrista de Vetusta Morla, los Radiohead de Tres Cantos, la banda independiente española de mayor éxito en 2009 y, por ello, la que despierta reacciones, -a favor y en contra- más apasionadas. Como vocalista invitada, Christina Rosenvinge, madrina de esta generación.

Muchas gracias! Me encanta esta cantante, hace poco la descubri (primero con la version de "Madrid" de Pereza, y luego con su ultimo disco, "Tu Labio Superior", que me gusto mucho) y cada vez quiero escuchar mas de ella

La verdad es que el tema suena genial.

Lo mejor de todo es que se integra en una promoción que celebra el Día de la Música (será el 21 de junio).

Y se han grabado unos cuantos temas, con algunas premisas:

se solicitó a una veintena larga de bandas indies españolas que se agruparan en parejas e interpretaran un tema de un tercero. Se puso como condición que la canción elegida debía haber sido publicada en los últimos cinco años.

Así que la cosa promete ser interesante, porque

llegarán Inhabitants y Adrian, cantante de Cat People, con su Cape Cod kwasa kwasa; Remate y Cohete, con Time to pretend, de MGMT; Chuchillo y Klaus & Kinski con Let's make love and listen death from above; Nudozurdo y Joe Crepúsculo con un tema de Devendra Banhart; La Bien Querida, Miguel Ángel de Manos de Topo, Jaime Pantaleón y David Beef, interpretando una canción de Joe Crepúsculo; Arizona Baby y L.A., con una revisión de la canción Standing in the way of control de los estadounidenses Gossip y, por último, Templeton y Alondra Bentley, con el famoso Crazy de Gnarls Barkley.

Así que supongo que entre todos lo subiremos todo.
